High heels now a days, is a style statement. Ladies have made it a part of their daily attire, a dress code, especially when they have to be in a formal wear most of the time.
“The foot is not meant to function on an everyday basis when it’s above two inches. If you continue to put your foot in that position, I don’t care what anybody says, it’s going to hurt, and there will be consequences.”
It’s not only about tired, achy feet but also other complications that may happen with continuous use of high heels for hours.
Bunions
Ulcers
Corns
Ankle sprain
Nerve damage
Permanently shortened Achilles tendons.
It is very important to find a Podiatrist who is going to take care of your feet when you need it the most.
It’s always a good idea to get rid of old heels. And that’s also because it gives a reason to go shoe shopping.
A comfortable pair of shoes should be kept handy when the working hours are over because by end of the day your feet will be swollen & painful. An after care routine is very important. A nice stretch & massage to calves is a good option. Also, relaxing the sole of the foot is very important. Can use ice for it.
Weekends should be spent in comfortable shoes or cozy flats.
Gel inserts and moleskin padding can help, but depending on the situation. If your shoes are tight and you add a gel insert or moleskin, it just takes up space and makes things tighter.
Its just the decisions should be taken smartly. For more details Contact 1800 22 1674 or Email doctor@orthofit.in
